An immigration interview is an important and sometimes stressful moment. If you’re more comfortable speaking Spanish, an interpreter lets you understand every question and answer in your own words.
I interpret faithfully and completely between Spanish and English, without adding, leaving out or changing what is said, as expected of an interpreter at an official interview.
USCIS interviews
At many USCIS interviews, such as marriage-based green card interviews, the applicant may bring their own interpreter. The interpreter must be competent in both languages and sign a declaration before the officer. We arrive on time with the required identification.
